DataFlow verification is mandatory for all UAE healthcare licenses — DHA, DOH, and MOH. Yet it's also the most common source of delays, rejections, and frustration for healthcare professionals. Here are the 7 mistakes we see most often.
1. Submitting Documents That Don't Exactly Match
Your name on the DataFlow application must exactly match your passport, degree, and experience letters — including middle names, spelling variations, and ordering. A single discrepancy can trigger a rejection that adds months to your process.
2. Using Unrecognized Educational Institutions
DHA maintains a list of recognized institutions. If your university or medical college isn't on the list, your degree may not be accepted without additional evidence or exceptions. Our team pre-checks every institution before submitting.
3. Missing the Good Standing Certificate
A Good Standing Certificate (GSC) must be issued by your home country's medical council/licensing body. Many professionals submit experience letters instead — these are not a substitute. The GSC must be recent (usually within 6 months) and clearly worded.
4. Incorrect Experience Letter Format
Experience letters must be on official hospital/clinic letterhead, signed by HR or the Medical Director, include exact employment dates and your professional role, and confirm that you practiced in the stated specialty. Letters without exact dates or specialty are routinely rejected.
5. Incomplete Transcript or Degree Verification
DataFlow contacts your university directly for verification. If your university has changed addresses, merged, or is slow to respond, this can stall the process. We work around this by providing pre-verification documents wherever possible.
6. Expired Documents
Certain documents — particularly the Good Standing Certificate and some country-specific verifications — have validity windows. Submitting an expired document means restarting that verification step.
7. Not Tracking Your Application
DataFlow has a tracking portal, and many delays happen because applicants don't monitor their status or respond to requests for additional information. Our team monitors every application in real-time and responds to DataFlow queries immediately.
